2026-27 Native American Studies Scholarship Application is open!

The NAS Department Scholarship for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year is now accepting applications!

Submission Deadline: Friday May 8 at 11:59pm (MDT)

Eligibility requirements include:

• Major, Second Major, or Minor in Native American Studies
• 2.75 GPA for all NATV courses
• Completed (or In-Progress) at least 6 credit hours of NATV coursework

Submission Criteria:

1. Online Application
2. (Upload as Word doc/PDF) A 600-word max. response to:
   What are your motivations for declaring a major or minor in Native American Studies? How has Native American Studies enhanced your understanding of leadership in Native American communities? How has this evolved? With emphasis on service and community activities, please describe your plans after you have earned your bachelors. What steps are you taking to manifest this vision?
3. (Upload as Word doc/PDF) A copy of your resume/CV.
   Be sure to include your extracurricular activities (e.g., student organizations, volunteer work).
