Dr. Madeline Rose Mendoza (Laguna Pueblo, Ohkay Owingeh, Chicana) from Rio Rancho, New Mexico holds a doctorate in rhetoric and writing from the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of New Mexico.

Her dissertation is title Regenerative Writing: The Rhetorics of Indigenous Futurisms as Pedagogical Praxis.

Her dissertation research explores Indigenous Futurisms, Indigenous feminist rhetorics, land-based pedagogies, and multimodal compositions.

In addition, she serves as Associate Editor for the Native Studies journal Wicazo Sa Review.
